Description

Here's the Round 3 daytime wheel from 1986 with the Jackpot space. Unlike the Jackpot round from the nighttime version introduced 10 years later, it's like the prize spaces used on the nighttime version. It was placed on the $300 space between $250 and $200. If a player lands on it, s/he picked it up and placed it in front of him/her, and if s/he can solve the puzzle and avoid landing on Bankrupt, that player won the jackpot that started at $1,000 and went up by that much each day until won. The Jackpot can't be used to buy vowels or during shopping rounds, it acted as a cash prize (1 of the few times cash was offered during the shopping era of Wheel of Fortune). The Jackpot round stayed on the daytime version until 1988.
